I’ve been writing recently about how several of my social groups are working on mistakes. Talking about the different kinds of mistakes we can make, how to handle apologies (whether giving or getting), and how to manage our feelings about mistakes. 😬
A group that is just getting started on these discussions spent a little time last week focusing on Maca and Roni. Let’s take a peek at their work:
First, we watched Maca & Roni: Dominos. Students knew to be on the lookout for mistakes by any of the characters. And, wow, we found quite a few 📝:
Everyone was having a great time talking about all these errors – laughing, enjoying each other. To continue the fun, they decided to do some illustrating:
Each illustration was unique, and really captured the details of the mistakes made, as well as how the other characters in the situation felt. A great first discussion about mistakes. Stay tuned to hear more from this group!
